Admission Guidelines
New Academic Session from 01 Apr 25 to 31 Mar 26
AGE Limit (CLASS) (As on 01 Apr 2025)
Nursery – 03 to 05 Years LKG – 04 to 06 Years
UKG – 05 to 07 Years I – 06 to 08 Years
For Admission In Classes LKG TO VIII
Admission test shall not be conducted for admission in Class LKG to VIII and the admission may be granted based on Priority category system (1 to 6 or 7 as the case may be). If applications are more than the number of seats available lottery system will be followed in each category. (Please refer Para 4 below for guidelines as admission priorities).
For Admission In Class IX
- For admission to Class IX, an admission test shall be conducted and a merit list will be prepared for each category of priority separately. Admission shall be granted in the sequence of priority categories in the order of merit.
- Admission test shall be conducted in the subjects: GK, English, Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
- The admission test will comprise of 01 paper for 3 Hours duration & 100 marks for subjects GK, English, Mathematics, Social Science & Science (each subject carries 20 marks).
- Candidates must secure 33% marks in aggregate to qualify in admission test. (Please refer Para 4 below for guidelines as admission priorities).
Priorities In Admission
The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions:-

1. Priority 1: Personnel of Service running school: -
- Serving personnel (Incl DSC) posted in station/city.
- Family staying in Separated family/Selected Place of Residence (SPR) accommodation in station/city, serving personnel on deputation with other organizations (eg NSG, DRDO etc) posted in station/city, superannuated service personnel who exercised choice of home station in last one year of service.
- Widows.

2. Priority 1A: Personnel from other services: -
- Serving personnel on deputation with service running the school and posted in station/city.
- Personnel serving in Tri-Services organization in station/city.
- Widows.

3. Priority 1B: Personnel from other Services: -
- Serving personnel not on deputation with service running the school or posted in Tri-Services organization but posted in station/city.
- Serving personnel of Indian Cost Guard (ICG).

4. Priority 1C:

ESM of Service running school residing in the city/station: -
- Who retired with pension.
- Who invalidated out on medical grounds with pension.
- Serving personnel from other Services who have chosen the city/station as SPR.
- Wards of School staff, running the school.

ESM of Service running school residing in the city/station: -

5. Priority 2: ESM of Service running school not residing in the city/station: -
- Who retired with pension.
- Who invalidated out on medical grounds with pension.

6. Priority 2A: ESM of other Services: -
- Who retired with pension.
- Who invalidated out on medical grounds with pension.
- 7. Priority 2B: Defence civilians working with Service running the school in the same station/city.

8. Priority 3: ESM of Service running school: -
- Who retired without pension.
- Who invalidated out on medical grounds without pension.

9. Priority 3A: ESM of other Service: -
- Who retired without pension.
- Who invalidated out on medical grounds without pension.
- 10. Priority 3B: Personnel all three Services who are not cat as ESM.
- 11. Priority 3C: Defence civilians working with other services, posted in same station/city.
- 12. Priority 4A: Grand Children of Service personnel.
- 13. Priority 4B: All others.
For Admission in Class XI (As per AFS Guidelines)
AFS Students: Admission in different streams viz Science and Commerce Humanities of Class XI in AFS will be based on Percentage (%) scored in Class X examination as under:
- Science Stream : A Minimum of 60% Marks.
- Commerce Stream : A Minimum of 50% Marks.
Note:
If seats remain vacant in Class XI even after admitting the children of AF Schools then the admissions to Non–Air Force children may be granted on the same criteria in the sequence of categories of priority.
However, there could be instances of lower enrolment in Class XI in AF Schools, especially those located in hard stations and remote areas after applying the above criteria for admission. In such an eventuality, the Principal may send the proposal of lowering the eligibility criteria for various streams along with the details of registration, No. of eligible students, etc. to the Chairman, Air Force School, Jaipur. The Chairman, AF School may use her/his discretion in lowering the eligibility criteria to the extent as indicated below:-
- Science Stream : A Minimum of 60% Marks.
- Commerce Stream : A Minimum of 50% Marks.
